The Theobalds photo shoot was an interesting one. Josh Rachael & Little Mac are good friends of ours so Arissa and I thought we would try doing the shoot together. I thought the idea was great and Arissa had some great plans to decorate an outdoor birthday party like something she saw on Pinterest. I loved the idea but was a little hesitant. The reason for my hesitation is the fact that if my wife came my two little boys would come too. My boys are 1 1/2 and 3 and can be a lot on the wild side. But I figured 1 will be in the stroller and the other on his bike and we will be just fine. I had this great idea to use a balloon to represent the little man (Tucker) growing in Rachael's belly. After dinner we were running a little behind schedule so I was going to drop the balloon idea. Instead I pushed it a bit and thought Arissa could run into the store real quick, get the balloon and run out. As I sat in the car with the boys I watched the minutes pass by, and as the minutes passed by i watched my amazing Colorado lighting fading behind the mountains . After about 10 minutes I locked the car (please don't call social services) and ran inside to find my wife in line for the balloon. I don't know why there were 10 people who needed balloons at 4:45 pm on a week night but they did. She was at the front of the line and managed to get one of the free balloons as I hurried her out the door. The only problem with the free balloon is in huge writing on it that read "KING SOOPERS" on one side. I was heated at that point getting all huffy and puffy about the balloon and how I was scared we were going to be late, and the sun was going to set, and I am trying to be professional. We got there in plenty of time to get some great photos and it all worked out but we did learn some valuable lessons. 1. Probably not the best idea to bring your kids to photo shoots.
2. There is cactus in that field
3. Don't take yourself to seriously in the end it will all work out.
I think it did work out. I am extremely happy with the outcome of the shoot and feel we got a bunch of good shots for the Thobald family to enjoy. Let me know what you think.
