I had the privilege of photographing some excellent local counselors the other day. Envision Counseling Clinic is bringing hope to our Castle Rock community. They are committed to helping folks face their challenges and forge a new path. They also offer pre-marital counseling for all you love birds out there planning your wedding.
If you are on the fence about taking pre-marital counseling I highly encourage it. My wife and I have been married for almost 12 years now and we were able to work out so many things before we tied the knot.
It was an unseasonably warm January day in Black Forest CO. The scene was set. All the preparations and planning had been completed and now it was time to make a vow. Weddings are such a joy to be a part of, and Bradley and Brooks beautiful day was one to be remembered. I love how weddings take on a life of their own. It is about the people and the personality coming across in a very unique way. It is moments stacked upon one another to create this beautiful crescendo! But the crescendo is not the end of a song, it is just the beginning of one.
Tyler & Brittany are an amazing couple. Every detail was in place for the day of their beautiful mountain wedding. Brittany and I worked together at MyWedding.com a few years back and we hit it off. Her knowledge of the wedding industry gave her an upper hand in planning their wedding day and it shows.
My favorite moment of the day was when Brittany walked down the isle. Her and Tyler both fell apart at the site of each other. Simply put it was beautiful! Their families and friends were a delight to work with. I wish them many years of blissful marriage!

To photograph a wedding is more than a job or a task. It is living and reliving one of the greatest days a family can experience. Capturing the day for Tyler and Alyssa was one of those great days. It was more than a ceremony; it was the celebration of love for each other and for the Lord. I have known Alyssa for about 4 years now and have watched her grow into an amazing woman with an amazing heart for Jesus. This was the first wedding I have photographed since the birth of my daughter Avia. So some of my favorite moments of the day were watching how Alyssa and her father, Jason, interacted. And for some reason, the ‘giving away of the bride’ in the ceremony really touched me. To have the privilege of witnessing and documenting any event like this, is one I do not take lightly.
Many blessings to you two as you pursue your calling. I pray that you would find favor, delight, and fullness in all the Lord has called you.
Hello all future married people. I know planning the perfect wedding can be a challenge so I am always looking for sites that help my couples plan their big day. Today I came across a site called venueplease.com. It has a list of some great venues for all budgets. If you get a chance check it out.
I was downtown last week to meet with a bride about shooting her wedding in June. Since I was in the area I thought I would make the most of the day and take some photos. I love street photography! I don't get to do much of it living in the big town of Castle Rock but when I get to go out and shoot I really enjoy the heart beat cities have. The photos of the street musicians are some of my favorite from the day. They were thrilled to have their very own mini photo shoot. Right across from where they were playing was a Ritz Camera shop so I was able to print instantly and hand them some photos when we were done. Capturing these moments is always an adventure. There is nothing like holding a print in your hand. I love digital photography and all it has to offer, but getting it off my screen and into real life is priceless to me.
