I welcome the crazy! In fact it is the crazy that makes the best photos. I love the energy of a toddler figuring out life. It is so cool to watch and document different seasons of life. From the crazy early years to the teens I love it all. Family is everything. Don’t forget to document it all!
I have known Hannah and Andy for several years. Hannah and I used to work together at My Wedding.com and my wife Arissa has known their families even longer. A couple of months ago I did a promotion on Facebook and they were the lucky winners of a free mini shoot. I was so pleased when their name was drawn. I love their hearts for Jesus and family. At first their daughter wasn't so sure about the lights and the camera but I was able to eventually use a few tricks to get everyone to engage.
Life over the past year has been so full. I like to call it the crazy good life. So much crazy and so much good. With all that has been going on, I have managed to neglect this blog. So I wanted to post some photos from shoots over the last year to let you know I am still working as a photographer.
Looking back at all these photos I am reminded how blessed I am to be a part of all these lives. I will be posting some more updates here so please check in and if you need any photos taken feel free to get in touch.

Doing a slideshow like this has been on my mind for a long time. I am a faithful NPR listener and I love interviews. I feel they are able to capture moments we soon forget. I am constantly recording the most mundane moments of me talking to my kids and as time goes on those recordings become treasure. I want to encourage you to pull out your phone and record something today. I hope you enjoy the slideshow.
PS The Marbles are one of my all time favorite families!!!
I love living in Castle Rock, CO. I have been doing some traveling lately and it has made me appreciate our town. Don't get me wrong there are hundreds of other places in the world I would enjoy living, but there is something about coming home from a trip that makes you appreciate home!
Soon after our return I had the privileged of photographing the Scott family. These guys were inspiring to me in so many ways. First off their girls were the best behaved kids I have ever photographed. They were so chill and willing to just cooperate with all my requests. I had a new Toy Story Pez Dispenser on hand and ready to bribe with and I didn't have to use it. It's not every day that you meet people that truly inspire you. Scott and Heather had a great impact on me in the short time we spent together. I think this quote describes them pretty well.
“You are what you do, not what you say you'll do.”

Thank you for allowing me to spend some time with you and your family.
