This year was the second year I was privileged to photograph this event and it has quickly become one of my favorite. Seeing daughters engage with their dad's just warms my heart especially since the birth of my daughter Avia. I cannot wait to share beautiful moments like these with her to let her know she is a jewel in this world.
Sometimes you just have to do a mini shoot because your mom bought a Groupon!
I will forever call this the attack of the mosquito photo shoot. No joke we were under attack the whole time. You would never be able to tell from the photos. The Hogstad are a beautiful family with amazing kids. They were so gracious and their kids were great sports. I typically give families with young kids about 30 minutes before someone starts to blow up. That is what I call the meltdown point. At first I am the cool new guy with the big camera but about 30 minutes later they lose interest and start to wonder where the ice cream you promised them is. A few weeks ago my family was on the other side of the camera and that is exactly how it all went down. Thank you Hogstad family for our time together. Next year I will bring bug spray!
P.S. There is still time to book your family photo shoot! I am currently running a special Holiday Promotion. Check it out here or just give me a call to learn more.
This shoot is proof that you can make beautiful photos even when it is raining outside! Genny is one of our neighbors and this was my first time meeting her parents. Everyone was amazing and full of smiles while I worked quickly to get us out of the rain.
3 Things I loved about this family
1. The connection I saw between Jane and Fred. I guess that is what 20+ years of marriage will do to people.
2. I love the photo of Genny with her parents. It is no neat to see the resemblance shared especially with her mom Jane.
3. Photographs with multiple generations represented are some of my favorite artifacts to create.

The Marble family is one of my all time favorites! I have worked along side Pastor Mark and Christie for the last four years as their worship pastor. They are some of the most kind and gracious people I know and I am am truly blessed to have them in my life. The cool thing about knowing amazing people is they have amazing kids, who in turn have amazing kids!
I just came across this video from almost 5 years ago. My son Nehemiah was only 6 days old, and being new parents we didn't know what to do. So I laid him down on my guitar and sang him to sleep. My wife Arissa happened to grab our little point and shoot camera and capture this sweet moment.
It's moments like these that I value so much in my life and in my work. These moments compiled make up the history/legacy of my family. The heart of the moment was far sweeter the the perfection of the camera or the guitar playing. I hope you enjoy it, and remember to create some memories of your family today.
The Marble's are a great family! We did this photo shoot in the fall at sunrise! I love the results of doing sunrise photo shoots. I don't always love getting up at the crack of dawn. It is my goal to accommodate the schedules of my clients. Being a father of two young boys with one on the way I am especially familiar with the scheduling needs of kids. Livvy the little Marble in the photos was happy for about 25 minutes before the breakdown started coming. I love the second to last photo where we hit the wall and Jesse and Kate are just laughing at her. Moments like that are my absolute favorite to capture. The real deal, no fake smiles no rehearsed poses, just life as it happens.
Beautiful weather + Beautiful family = Great Photos. I had an amazing time with the Meadows family last weekend! Family shoots are always full of unexpected things like sleeping children and or a need to go the bathroom. About 10 minutes into the shoot we had a little melt down but luckily I was prepared with candy and the car horn from my sons pedal car. The kids loved it! It was my first shoot in Littleton and I loved all the character there. Jacob and Camille you guys have a beautiful family!
I Love the connection between these two!
